Bonnect analyzes each listing and account using automated checks to help you spot potential fraud. A badge is an informational indicator — it’s not a guarantee.

Low-risk Listing
Passed our checks; no significant fraud signals.
- Seller verified or has good history.
- Photos and text match the item and category.
- No suspicious links or unrealistic pricing.
Mid-risk Listing
Some signals suggest caution.
- Unclear or mismatched photos/descriptions.
- Price far below typical range.
- New account or incomplete info.
Ask for more details or meet in public if unsure.
High-risk Listing
Strong signs of fraud or violations.
- Stolen or stock photos reused.
- Asking to pay via gift card/wire or move chat off-platform.
- Prohibited items detected.
Avoid transacting. Report the listing immediately.
How we assess listings
- Listing signals: photo–text match, duplicates, pricing anomalies.
- Account signals: verification status, age, feedback.
- Technical: IP/device patterns, rapid relisting, location consistency.
User badges
User badges show account-level trust indicators. They complement, not replace, your own judgment.

Strong indicators of fraud or repeated violations. Visibility or access may be limited.
- Multiple confirmed policy breaches.
- Device/IP anomalies or spam-like behavior.
- Identity mismatch or impersonation attempts.

How we assess user trust
- Identity & affiliation: school email or ID verification consistency.
- History: account age, trades, disputes, feedback.
- Behavioral signals: device/IP consistency, messaging frequency, anomaly detection.
Safety tips
- Meet in public, well-lit places; bring a friend for high-value items.
- Use in-app chat and payments; avoid gift cards or wires.
- Inspect items carefully before paying.
